Top Business Web Series to Keep You Motivated

As an entrepreneur, you know the importance of maintaining motivation. Thankfully, there are various business-oriented motivational web series that can provide the encouragement you need to keep moving forward with your plans.

The Billion Dollar Buyer chronicles Tilman Fertitta, owner of Landry’s Inc and Houston Rockets, as he samples products from small businesses before making decisions about investing in them.

Suits

Suits is an entertaining legal drama that strikes an appealing balance between earnestness and edge, featuring well-developed characters with refined attitudes and flair for big-city living. At its center is Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), an intelligent college dropout who fakes his way into working for Pearson Hardman Law Firm run by Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Their fast-talking banter often features pop culture references – adding another level of entertainment! When Harvey puts Mike Ross down hard, there’s always that sense of smug satisfaction from him taking back control!

Suits is one of the few shows that successfully balance humor and drama – making it essential viewing for business enthusiasts. Although stereotypes and one-dimensional characters may cause some issues for viewers, a solid script and performances by its stars help overcome such difficulties. Suits are definitely worth watching for anyone interested in business!

Since its premiere in 2011, The Voice has become a top-rated show, even experiencing a significant revival thanks to streaming platforms and TikTok. Earlier this summer, it set a record for the most streamed acquired TV show in one week and has become a go-to show for many viewers due to its breezy storytelling, engaging characters, and launch in summer when popcorn cuisine flourishes.

Though its plot may not be as complex as other legal dramas, Pearson Hardman still offers plenty of dramatic suspense and conflict. Harvey pushes ethical and legal boundaries in order to win cases, sometimes leading to tension with Donna Paulsen as an assistant and Louis Litt as an adversary. Furthermore, this series delves deep into its characters’ personal lives, such as Donna Paulsen as Harvey’s assistant and Louis Litt as his rival – two key relationships on display within Pearson Hardman.

The Big Bang Theory

Over 12 seasons, The Big Bang Theory delighted millions with captivating tales and humorous dialogue. The popular sitcom followed Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter of the Caltech Physics Department as they interacted with co-workers and neighbors from Pasadena. It earned numerous Emmy awards while captivating an audience beyond scientific fields alike with its charming antics.

Sheldon, in the show, is an incorrigibly brilliant man whose dedication to his studies often leads to trouble. He struggles to connect to life outside his studies, often treating non-scientists with disdain; this causes great discomfort among his classmates, who must frequently remind him that not everyone thinks like him.

This show follows Sheldon, Leonard, Howard Wolowitz, Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz and their lives together in New York. Although the group may disagree about work-related matters at times, they always find ways to laugh through problems together and make one another happy. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Mayim Bialik make up the cast.

Throughout the series, characters discuss various aspects of science while making lighthearted jokes about their careers. Many episodes cover subjects like particle physics and genetics. What sets The Big Bang Theory apart is its cast members’ dynamic, which has helped contribute to its popularity. Furthermore, their close bond is shown in Unraveling the Mystery.

The Big Bang Theory has earned widespread acclaim yet has also drawn considerable criticism due to its lack of diversity and stereotypical depictions of women. Still, its wide popularity and various spinoffs such as Young Sheldon have kept audiences entertained; now executive producer Chuck Lorre is working on another spinoff that will explore one character’s childhood years – hopefully, this new show can address some of its critics while remaining entertaining to audiences.

The Shark Tank

Young entrepreneurs bring their ideas and products to the “sharks,” titans of industry who have turned their dreams into profitable empires. They hope to convince one or more sharks to invest money in their product or service; if more than one shark shows interest, bidding wars may break out, driving up costs significantly; otherwise, they leave empty-handed.

The Shark Tank is a top-rated show that has inspired some of America’s most iconic products, like the Squatty Potty, Spikeball, and First Defense Nasal Screens. Its stars – Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O’Leary have amassed fortunes investing their expertise into businesses – but not every deal presented on TV makes an appearance or results in successful outcomes.

Forbes was able to interview some former Sharks and gain more insight into what happens behind the scenes.

Most entrepreneurs are chosen based on applications, but producers also employ scouts who monitor crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter and attend trade shows to identify businesses with innovative products and dynamic founders. When appropriate, these scouts may ask an entrepreneur to come in for an audition if they believe it would be beneficial.

Each season, 88 entrepreneurs will get to pitch to the Sharks; however, only 52 will actually land a deal due to boring pitches or being unable to negotiate an acceptable agreement. Time constraints don’t allow for do-overs either: “You must remain fully attentive during every pitch session, listening out for information while simultaneously considering what you know about this industry and its competitors, as well as assessing each entrepreneur,” according to Cuban.

The Sharks may make quick decisions on camera, but most negotiations occur behind closed doors. Each shark has his or her style for negotiations and considers issues such as equity valuation, market opportunity, and competition when making deals off-camera. Many deals completed during the show fail due to new information uncovered during the due diligence processes of businesses involved in deals done on camera.

Girl in the City

Girl in the City is an animated TV series about small-town girl Vivian as she navigates her transition to New York and launches her fashion designer career. The series was widely lauded, winning critical acclaim among millennial viewers as an instant classic; its plot has even been used in contemporary works such as novels and television series! Girl in the City also appeared at many film festivals, becoming an instant cult TV classic!

The first season of this Netflix original series premiered in 2016 and quickly became an instantaneous hit due to its realistic content. A second season followed in 2017, which also found immense favor with viewers, while now, in July, the third season has come out, featuring Mithila Palkar, Rajat Barmecha, and Swati Vatsa in its cast – making this must-see series for binge-watchers everywhere!

Although the series boasts strong ratings, it does have some issues. For example, while the plot of the first two seasons felt original and relevant to its audience, its third season seems less so, and character traits seem repetitive; additionally, this particular small-town-girl-makes-it-big-in-Mumbai story no longer holds as much appeal to modern viewers.

Mithila Palkar’s performance as Meera was remarkable. Her portrayal perfectly captured the struggle of an ordinary small-town girl living in Mumbai and, over time, showed how hard work can lead to success while fate can also destroy dreams.

The show also addressed mental illness, which was all too prevalent during this era. While its plot may have been somewhat predictable, its writing was outstanding, and its acting performances exceptional – creating an unforgettable first season available on Bindass’ YouTube channel and worth your time!
