Redmi 6 Pro Review
The Redmi 6 Pro is a budget smartphone with plenty of features and performance for its price tag. It has a 5.84-inch display, dual rear cameras, and a balanced Snapdragon 625 processor.
It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6, with several nifty features and utilities. One significant recent addition is gesture-based navigation which takes some getting used to but becomes muscle memory after a while.
The Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also has a notch at the top of the screen, a significant smartphone feature in 2018.
The phone’s display is quite suitable for its price, and it does a decent job of reading text and playing games. The colors are evident and vibrant, and the app switching is smooth.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC powers the Redmi 6 Pro. It also packs 64GB of storage and either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The phone supports dual SIMs and has a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Redmi 6 Pro is an excellent budget camera phone. It has a triple-camera setup and takes some impressive images in bright light.
The rear camera is a 12MP IMX376 sensor with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens, and it also features phase detection autofocus (PDAF). It takes excellent pictures in bright light with minimal noise.
On the front, the 5MP selfie shooter also takes beautiful photos in bright daylight. But it’s less than ideal for low-light selfies, and the image is a little grainy due to the lack of a screen flash.
The AI toggle is on the main interface and does a decent job of recognizing scenes and adding artificial enhancement. The only problem is that it oversaturates the colors, and the picture feels quite a bit processed.
The Redmi 6 Pro is a good-performing smartphone that delivers much value for your money. It has an Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and 3 GB of RAM, which is ideal for a phone that costs around Rs 10,999.
It also has a 4000mAh battery that can last a day of moderate usage. The battery is not fast charging-ready, though, so it can take up to three hours to fully charge a completely drained one.
The Redmi 6 Pro is a decent camera phone that clicks crisp and clear images in good light. It does a decent job at bokeh shots, too.
The Redmi 6 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery, one of the best in this price range. It can easily last two days of heavy use and supports fast charging.
It’s no secret that a smartphone’s battery wears out over time. That’s why occasionally replacing your phone’s old battery with a new one is a good idea.
You can do so by choosing Cashify’s doorstep battery replacement service. This process is convenient, secure, and affordable.
Alternatively, you can visit an authorized Xiaomi service center to get your battery replaced. However, this can be a lengthy and tiresome process. It can also compromise privacy, as the technician will work behind closed doors.
