NBA 2K14 Game Review

NBA 2K14 is a basketball video game. It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. The game was released on October 1, 2013. It is the sequel to NBA 2K13. You play as a basketball player and take part in various game modes. The game features MyCareer, Crew, and Game modes.

Review of NBA 2K14

Despite the recent launch of the PS4 and Xbox One, the NBA 2K series remains a perennial contender for Sports Game of the Year. This year’s edition is no exception, with the same gameplay mechanics and graphics as the previous version. However, I am disappointed that Visual Concepts could not make an even better-looking game to launch on the next-generation consoles.

Although not a complete replica of real-life basketball, NBA 2K14’s graphics, and gameplay are impressive, even from a distance. The cheerleaders and team mascots are very real-looking, and the game offers solid audio effects. While the lack of commentary is a bit disappointing, there are several aspects of the game that make it an easy recommendation for new platforms. Its story mode is particularly novel and compelling, although it is far from perfect.

MyCareer mode

The MyCareer mode in NBA 2K14 is a new addition to the series, and it lets you live the life of an NBA player. Starting from the high school play, you’ll progress to college and eventually the G League. As you play, you can improve your skills and become a superstar.

Moreover, you can interact with other players and coaches via text messaging. This way, you can receive feedback from your teammates and even GM. You can also chat with your girlfriend. Another new feature is the ability to set your schedule. You can meet different people at different times or create multiple schedules. But be careful not to overlap them because that will mean missing some meetings and rewards.

MyCareer mode is also different for different consoles. Next-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X will have more features and integrations in The City. On the other hand, PC users will have a more traditional version of MyCAREER mode.

Crew mode

If you’re an avid NBA 2K fan, you’ve probably heard a lot of negative things about the online modes in previous versions. While NBA 2K14’s Crew mode was a worthy forerunner of the 2K Pro-Am mode, its implementation was a bit disappointing. It lacked the original concept of the mode, which made it a disappointment for fans who loved it.

The first part of this mode is a competitive mode where players create their crew and take on the opposing crew online. The game features leaderboards and stats for each crew. This mode is currently only available on Xbox 360 and PS3 but the developer did say that it might make it to Next Gen in the future.

Game modes

NBA 2K14 has a small number of game modes. These range from exhibition games to team-based games. You can also play as your favorite NBA team and compete against AI opponents. Several of these modes can also be played online. You can play against up to five other players in this game mode.

While the Association mode is still a staple of NBA 2K, the new MyGM mode allows you to be more involved in managing your team. In this mode, you can build up your portfolio and improve your team’s chemistry. You can also deal with the team’s finances by negotiating contracts with players and concessionaires. This mode also involves scouting and hiring staff.

The game modes in NBA 2K14 are not nearly as easy as the previous versions. You have to be able to strategize well to beat opposing teams and distribute the ball evenly. If your team has a superstar player, the other team’s players will swarm over him, making it important to pass the ball around your team to other players.

The latest update to NBA 2K14 has addressed some bugs and general gameplay issues. The patch is available for download on both PS4 and Xbox One. It will resolve several issues, such as sudden disconnections when playing online. It will also fix the problem wherein players would receive a blank loading screen for an extended period.

If your game crashes when you try to load the roster, you may not have properly extracted the roster file or there may be a problem. If so, you can use a roster creator to fix the problem. Another bug that can occur is when the cyber face of your team becomes corrupt. This can affect either your home team or your opponent.
